Here goes:

Read the following sentances
a)underline the error in each sentance

c)describe how you would explain to a learner of English what is wrong with the sentance. You can use simple grammar terminology.

i) They go often to London- THEY OFTEN GO TO LONDON OR THEY OFTEN GO INTO LONDON

ii) My sister plays tennis marvellously tennis- MY SISTER PLAYS TENNIS MARVELLOUSLY

iii) I have been to london yesterday- I WENT TO LONDON YESTERDAY

iv)Could you give me some advices about your English course?-PLEASE COULD I HAVE SOME INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR ENGLISH COURSE?

v) Im more good at English than you are!- IM BETTER AT ENGLISH THAN YOU ARE!

PART B:

Describe the differences in meaning between the following pairs of sentances

i) He saw someone running towards her-
He saw someone run towards her.

ii)He stopped listening to me
He stopped to listen to me

iii) Would you like a coffee?
Do you like a coffee?

iv) If I had enough money, I'd buy a new car.

PART C:

Mark the syllable that takes the main stress in the following words: e.g. tom O rrow
Economy
Advertise
Controversy
Photograph
Photographer
Chocolate
Engineer
July
Comfortable
Police

PART D:

Look at the following text and identify the errors.
E.G. Information not informations, plural not necessary

TEXT:

My name is Luis Gonzalez. I would like some informations about your english course at Brooklands college. I am studying English since four years and would like take the first certificate examination. I need practices in speaking and listening. Also, could you tell me how much is the accomodation. My mothers sister lives in Weybridge, but I prefer staying with English family.

Any help would be appreciated

Kind Regards

Hi there

For this one - Would you give me some advices about your English course?
I don't think you need to change it quite so much as you did. Just put 'advice' instead of 'advices'.
The rest of Part A are perfect, in my opinion.

As for B, are you a native speaker? If so, I imagine you'll be able to see that there is a difference in meaning. Just explain it. eg.
He stopped listening to me - He was listening to me then he stopped listening to me
He stopped to listen to me - He stopped doing something else and listened to me instead.
(Question i is rather tricky, I agree!)

Part C is difficult to explain in writing. Do you know what 'word stress' is? Looking for it on Wikipedia or something.

Part D, if you're a native speaker just rewrite the sentences how you'd naturally write them. If you're not a native speaker look at each word and double check if it's right.
