Last year about 20 expat foreign English teachers were arrested at Disney English locations and deported. The original story was here and on CCTV. http://www.vice.com/read/the-chinese-es ... -china-127. The victims eventually figured out that one of their own TAs dropped the dime on them. The name she was using at the time was "Sophie" (probably different today) Read the 3rd post at this link: https://www.scam.com/showthread.php?713 ... L-teachers!
The CSP later got an interview with her in which she bragged that she made over $50,000 a year turning in foreign teachers to the cops. The CSP agreed not to post her photo in exchange for the interview.
She is now working for a ESL recruiting agency in a Beijing. She always wears her hair short in different colors and always uses a 163.com email address. SHe is about 30 years old. If you don't accept a placement from her she reports you to the cops if you do not have a real diploma or Z visa.
Were any of your friends victims of Sophie and does anyone know what name she is using now and what agency she is working with so we can warn others?
Were any of your teacher friends deported because of TA Sophie?

WARNING TO ALL: Sophie now has her own ESL teacher job agency called GT Union or Good Teachers Union. And if you old timers remember Sophie was the sales manager at a really old South China scam called "Owen English" owned by a Chinese guy named "Ou Wen" who used to tell people he was Vietnamese. https://eslwatch.info/en/eslwatch-forum ... /1220.html
