I subscribe to the NEA newsletter and just was sent this link as part of a notice too long to paste here (about 3000 words). http://totallyexpat.com/global-immigrat ... -students/
127 interns were arrested and deported in 2014 because they were simply ignorant of the new China visa laws, which as we all know can be confusing and often misinterpreted. As it turns out there are only 3 ways you can legally intern in China, and all three require a special "certification letter" from the PSB which you have to submit with your visa application. See here: http://antifraudintl.org/threads/beware ... ost-265311
So if you are going to do an internship in China, be sure you believe the law and not some sales rep on commission who is trying to sell you by any means neccessary. They will surely not offer to pay your $2,000 fine if you get picked up in a random subway check.
Most China internships are now illegal - be wary of scams...

I found something similar at this linkI think you gave the wrong link. Try this one: http://www.balglobal.com/News/NewsDetai ... dents.aspx but the slimey bottom feeders who sell these "internship programs" never mention these legal issues and hop you never ask!
