Is Angelina's ESL Cafe A Scam Or Legit?

Unread postby Nathan » 25 May 2014, 10:30

I just started getting solicited by the company in Beijing which claims to be the biggest and oldest ESL Teacher Agency in China. They offered me some great paying jobs but are not able to give me any details. They say they will explain everything when I get there. So I got excited and was about to buy a plane ticket when my sister found this stuff on line below.

I also notice that the jobs they offer on their web sit have all very low salaries and not one of them pays the 15,000 yuan I was told on the phone.

My question is... If they are this bad how do they stay in business for 9 years? Does anyone here have any personal experience with this group that they can share here? Thank you!

I tried to use them but they keep changing the jobs too often. When I applied and interviewed for job "A" which paid 12,500 yuan per month, they told me it was "already filled" and tried really hard to push me to accept job "B" which paid 7,000 yuan per month as a "temporary solution". This did not seem right to me. I told them to call me only if they have a position that pays more than 12,000 yuan per month but they spam me every day with jobs that do not fit my requirements. Very unprofessional in my opinion.

You cannot judge a book by it's cover right? Yet, I think we all are quick to judge a company by their website. This is what I am talking about...

My GF had a very bad experience with them three years ago. They actually changed the contract after she signed it! Don't trust this group.
