No degree- tons of enthusiasm to teach in Cambodia.
My kids are almost all grown up, I'd love to teach english in Cambodia
in the future. Do I absolutely need a 4 year degree or will TEFL work?

Anybody know about the teaching requirements in Cambodia?

I'm willing to go through a degree program if I must but it sure will be tough.

Please, offer any advice you might have. Thank you.

I am glad to be a new member of this forum...

I am a non-native speaker too,yet my passion in teaching the target language in our community has been my life for ten years now.

My sister who is working in Dubai and has been aUS immigrant told me to pursue teaching in any foreigh country one must be qualififed , meaning you must be a Bachelor's Degree holder or MA.more if Ph.d., yet, its not even a guarantee one must have A CELTA or TOEFL certificate..here in the Philippines the program is offered a month and its more on in school training..i dont know if cambodia has the same program.

i suggest you better pursue taking the CELTA certificate..I wish you luck..

Is there still a CELTA training program offered in the Philippines?
