Hi guys. I'm a doctor of physics at Exeter Uni. I have had lecturer experience and I have also taught A level and GCSE physics in a private college but I have no formal teaching qualification.
I'm thinking of dropping out. Heading to Bali then working my way overland to Vietnam. If I find somewhere I really like I would like to extend my stay by doing some teaching. Of course I can not teach physics or maths in a foreign language, so I'm looking do to a tefl course. Which one do you think I need for this region?

Why Vietnam? With these qualifications you could get a real position at a good Chinese university with decent benefits...not an ESL job. Try the big names unis in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing, Shenyang. You will not need a formal teaching qualification with that background. Or trying a GAC program teaching the sciences at Chinese university / high school. With your background you are easily looking at RMB 20,000 per month. Any questions, please feel free to send me a PM. We can discuss things in more detail there.
