Prepostional phrases and co-occurance rules

Unread post by Lynn »

I have tutored English in Hong Kong for about 25 years, off and on, and the most frustrating thing that any of my students face is understanding and properly using prepositions, particularly prepositional phrases. This problem takes precedence over all other grammar, as well as the obvious pronunciation problems. I wonder if you could point me to any publications that deal specifically with the roll of co-occurance rules in understanding prepositional phrases. Thank you for your help. <>< Lynn

Prepositional phrases

Unread post by Lucy »

Dear Lynn,

I would like to be able to help with your question.

Could you please give me more information on what you need. For example, are you talking about linkers and connectors? prepositions of place? time? or something else?

I wouldn't like to give an answer that doesn't correspond to your question.

Best regards,
