I am an EFL teacher in Morocco, North Africa.iam looking for an example of a lesson plan based on the competency and standard-based approach since these are the fad todayin EFL teaching and learning.

It’s not so easy to answer this question as the standards based approach is not only for EFL; it’s an approach that can be used for any subject. It will also vary from one country to another. However, you could start by taking a look at the following links:

This is a link to a Cambridge University Press site; they are advertising books “Ventures” for a standards based approach to teaching EFL. You can also download a sample of the books.

You could also take a look at this link to an article that mentions the standards based approach and how it’s been used in Lebanon. I mention Lebanon because they use Arabic and French -as is the case in Morocco.
