Graded readers are great for students of English. But students hardly ever exploit them fully. They hardly ever listen to the enclosed CD or do the exercises at the end of the reader. What should be done to help the students get more out of the reader?

There is the story "The Kiss" where the text and audio are connected into a film.
And the comprehension exercises are turned into games and thus the students can check their comprehension in a way that is fun.
