I don't know how old your students are, but if they are young, you could use a game, where one student says: "I'm thinking of a word/verb/animal/adjective (etc.), yes, yes, yes. I'm thinking of a..., guess, guess, guess". The other students then take turns guessing what the word is (from the list of words they were supposed to review): "is it...?"
The furst student then answers:"Yes it is" or "No, it isn't". When the correct word is guessed, the next student thinks of a word. It is a good way to review the vocabulary nad also to check what they remember. It is only oral, so you can't check their spelling in this game.
