State Why You Are Ready To Undertake The CELTA Course?

Hi there,

I'm basically ready to send off my appplication form to get on to a CELTA course. However i've one more final question to complete but i'm having a little trouble in giving a really good answer which i'm personally satisfied with.

The question is:

"Please state why you think you are ready to undertake the course you are applying for".

My Answer is:

I feel that teaching English and meeting people from all over the world is my passion in life and something I’ve always wanted to do. Teaching my native language in a foreign country would be a dream come true for me.

I feel I’m at the right age in my life now where I know what I want from life and where I want to go in my life. English has always been my favourite subject and I would feel proud and honoured if I could teach my native language to foreign students as there second language.

I’d certainly put all my effort into the course and work my most hardest to gain the qualifications I need to help take me one step closer to desired career path.
.....................................................................................................................................

However i'm not 100% satisfied with my answer and i would like to know your thoughts and how you would maybe answer this question. Finally please do make me aware of any pronunciation and spelling mistakes etc in my answer.

I look forward to hearing from you all and many thanks in advance. :)

Steven

Steven, I found 2 mistakes (errors?): you said "there" when meaning "their" and spelt "I'm" with a small letter rather than capital. You may think I am being picky. Make no mistake, on my course the teachers took marks off if you didn't put a comma where THEY thought there should be one. I totally disagreed, and almost failed the course for "asking too many questions".

Also, which course and where have you chosen? I wouldn't touch Granada with a dirty bargepole. The school was run as a business, a franchise and the DOS and his wife were in it just for the money. They broke every promise they had made before I paid my money. I caught bed bugs from the filthy hostel. The whole place was a Health and Safety hazard.
