Hi!

I am currently teaching English in China. I have managed to create lesson plans without the aid of a book thus far, but now I have run out of ideas, and require assistance in the next Semester. Can anyone recommend a book which fits the following criteria:-

- Suitable for intermediate level English learners (e.g ages 11 - 13)
- Specifically intended for teachers of spoken English only
- Provides lesson plans and/or lesson topics
- Provides minimal games/activities
- Requires no need for complex or advanced facilities, merely the basics (blackboard, pen, paper etc)

I will be grateful for any recommendations as soon as possible, as I return to China in two weeks.

Many thanks!

xCx

This may be useful to you, though I'm not sure it's quite what you're looking for. It's a book called Lessons in your Rucksack
by John Hughes. It's designed for teaching situations where you are expected to go into the classroom with absolutely nothing to help you out except your initiative and brain. I've had a look through it, and it seems to have some good ideas for getting by without having a nervous breakdown.

Here's a link to the publisher:

If you can do any photocopying, then I've got some free activities designed to be used for communication based lessons available for free at http://www.eltgames.com.

Hope this is some use to you!
