Can anyone give me an example of a binding sentence? It is said that in English -ing is used more often for binding clauses than it is the case in the other languages which do have equivalents for it. But i can figure out what exactly a binding sentence is.thanks.

Check out this description of binding in English on the Wikipedia website. This link will take you part of the way. Just look for binding linguistics
when you get to the linked site.
This should give you a little better understanding of the conceptual basis for the use of binding phrases
used in Englsh...
