What is a binding sentence?

Unread postby sheeeni » 22 Jul 2007, 18:04

Can anyone give me an example of a binding sentence? It is said that in English -ing is used more often for binding clauses than it is the case in the other languages which do have equivalents for it. But i can figure out what exactly a binding sentence is.thanks.
