CRB? minor convictions from over 20 years ago

I am brand new here so please forgive me if you have answered this question before. I am 50 and considering a TEFL course with a view to using it in Mexico. I have a couple of minor convictions from over 20 years ago and wonder if I would need a CRB check to work with adults out there?
