Qualified teacher and getting work

Hi

I will be qualifying as an NQT in July and would love to spend my first year teaching English as a foreign language in Asia. A lot of the posts advertised either ask for no experience whatsoever other than a degree in any subject, or a teaching qualification with two years post grad experience. As my degree had a heavy focus on teaching foreign langauges to young learners and I am a qualified teacher with some classroom experience I won't be completing a TEFl before I go. Does anyone know the likelihood of me being able to get a job with a good school, i.e. not one of the scams that I seem to have been reading a lot about?

Any information about the best country to teach in would also be greatly appreciated.
