online again

Unread post by sofi »

i am looking into online courses and am wondering what is more important, hours logged in on a course, or the school s accreditation-reputation?
a lot of online courses offer 40-60 hour courses, this seems a bit meager.
But other ones that offer standard 120 hours, like LTTC, aren t officially recognized by any institution.
Any online graduates out there that could offer helpful advice?
Also, i m a bit worried about the validity of an online degree; is it easily accepted by employers?

It depends which employers you ask. If you're intending to work in an entry level position abroad then most online courses are fine.

Make sure you choose one with a good reputation and actually comes across as being professional. Most don't. Write an email to them with some kind of question and see if they reply - many don't bother. You can get a good idea of how professional they are by looking at the sites; some are really cheap and some are professional with forums, lists of teachers and so on.

Good luck!
