Hi,
I just wanted to first state that I apologize if this is in the wrong section. My questions about teaching abroad cover both the TEFL training and the actual job.
My name's Joshua, and I just graduated from Computer Systems at a college in Ontario, Canada. I've been contemplating about teaching abroad in China, and currently I've found two opportunities that I could participate in. (Even though I don't have a University Degree, the opportunities are though Teach & Travel China which only requires a high school diploma.)
The first opportunity that I found was through SWAP in Canada. Here's a link: http://swap.ca/out_eng/destinations/chi ... spx#glance
The 2nd I found was through i-to-i. Here's the link: http://www.onlinetefl.com/teaching-internships/china/
Both of these look quite similar except the one from i-to-i is almost $2000 cheaper. Both include the same accommodation, monthly allowance, 140 hour TEFL course, and are from the same organization in China. (Teach and Travel China).
Can anyone spot the difference between the two? I'm not sure if there is a major difference which would affect my outcome.
Has anyone had personal experience with these "internship" opportunities?
Thank you,
Joshua
