HELP- NEWBIE!!!

Unread postby DannyC » 31 Aug 2011, 11:50

Hi guys,

I am 25 years old and looking to get in to TEFL. Iam thinking of doing the CELTA course in London and then working in the UK to gain experience before possibly working abroad. The issue I have is that I don't have a degree, and I am worried this will severely lower my chances of any employment in the UK especially. I have 3 A-levels- Drama, Art and Comm Studies. I feel I have the skills to do this work- but not neccesarilly the qualifications. How important is a degree? Any experience on finding work in the UK- i.e placements/ permanent positions? Also, where is the best place to do the course in London?

Any help much appreciated!
