Appropriate degree?

Appropriate degree?

Hi what is meant by an appropriate degree? Does a history degree count as appropriate please?

It usually means English or foreign languages, but often they are just trying their luck and will taken anyone with any degree plus a decent TEFL cert. Which country and school is it?
