hi from a newbie.
i hope someone can help.
due to my current job i will have to take an online TEFL course. can anyone recommend any companies or give me some useful advice on online TEFL courses.
lately i have been hearing that there are many numerous online courses that are not internationally approved. these i am trying to avoid.

There are NO online courses internationally approved simply because there are no bodies able to approve internationally!
Visit as many providers as you can and if you read between the lines you'll be able to judge which are the biggest and best. There's also a review site worth checking

There are no validated online TEFL courses, however you might want to contact this company

In the past they offered a Hybrid course (online sessions followed by teaching practice at a location that suits you. I am not sure if this option is still available. This way you can do the course in 2 weeks instead of 4.
The best current options are CELTA and TRINITY.
