Comparison among CELTA programs

Unread postby Kerensa » Sun Apr 11, 2010 5:59 pm

Are there quality or significant content differences among CELTA programs -- whether real or perceived?

More precisely, do prospective employers care if you took the CELTA course in San Francisco versus Boston versus Houston versus Cancun?

I would also be interested in the answer to the first of these questions, especially as regards Europe (and the UK). Particular locations that interest me for various reasons are London, Hamburg, Moscow, Bucharest, Thessaloniki and Tbilisi. Feedback on providers in any of these places, good or bad, would be much appreciated.

CELTA courses are incredibly standardized (in quality, and usually in content). Obviously not all CELTA tutors are the same, but it's impossible to predict who will be particularly inspirational, so it's probably better to choose by location and price rather than by course content.

Thanks, Alex, that's exactly what I wanted to know.
