Part time CELTA course in London - Advice please?

Unread post by dlode »

Hi,

I'm about to undertake a CELTA course entry level but can only commit to the 12 week part time course. Can anyone recommend a decent school in London where I can get high quality training for less than £1000 (or ever so slightly above). I've heard International House is good but they charge £1250 and that is over my budget.

Thanks so much.

I'm currently studying at SKOLA in Soho, costing £995. Started in January and finishing in April. It's Part time, Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6:30 to 9:30 and 7 Saturdays, 10am to 17:00pm.

Out of 10, I would give them an 8. The main tutors I've had teaching us have been very supportive and very informative on how to teach lessons. Location is extremely convinient for me to travel to and the timing of the lessons fits well with my heavy work commitments.

I don't think you will find many hand's-on part time CELTA course for less than £900, and I'm not saying SKOLA is better than IH, it's just a school that I've really enjoyed studying at and meeting 11 new friends.

If you have other places in mind (always check courses via the Cambridge website for authenticity!), I'd advise checking the schools out and applying asap. Places get snapped up VERY quickly!

SKOLA has been going a long time, is British Council accredited, and has a solid reputation. The part-time CELTA seems a reasonable offer.
