further qualifications

I have been teaching privately in Spain for 2 years with a TEFL certificate. Can anyone tell me what other qualifications I could obtain to further my chances of eventually working in the state schools over here or in other European schools?

The next step up from a TEFL Certificate is a TEFL Diploma or one can go straight to an MA TEFL.
However state schools have their own requirements and these often vary from country to country. Since you are in Spain why not get in touch with your local Spanish Dept of Education and ask them directly?
