Hi all, first post. I'm thinking of training to be an ESL teacher and wondering which school to go to. I'd like to do a course which gives me the appropriate skills. I taught in China 2006/7 in a primary school which was fun. The training I had was ad hoc and online and sufficient for 5 - 11 year olds but wouldn't cut much mustard, I'm guessing, with intermediates.
My background has a business flavour with a degree in economics and I worked in a bank for 8 years, up to 2006. I visited Madrid last year (which is beautiful, BTW), staying in a hostel, and see there's a healthy teaching industry in the city. I suppose learning in a school there would be ideal. I just want to start off on the right foot in my new career so any help/recommendations would be great to hear. :)

Re: TEFL training in Europe?
I've sent you a PM with the details of the school I used.
Feel free to ask me any questions about it if you're interested.
