Course and Syllabus Design

Unread postby charl » Wed Nov 14, 2007 3:02 pm

I need some advice on course designing. We are a small school and we are applying for BC accreditation next year. Up until now we have not worked from a seperate syllabus we have just used coursebooks to form the courses.

I now need to produce a syllabus for all levels and I'm not sure where to start. The contents section in most course books seems to give a pretty acurate picture of the grammar and topics which will be covered and our teachers rotate the books so obviously the syllabus will be different for each book even though it is the same level.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

I advice to start using the same title coursebook for all levels, so you have continuity. Then copy the contents page and add any extra comments like timing, and you have a syllabus.
