"In memory" vs "On memory"
Why would one say "She prepared the words to impress them on her memory." As opposed to "She prepared the words to impress them in her memory"?
Or could both be used?

In vs on.
Is it "I'm in the swimming team." Or "I'm on the swimming team."? If both are okay, is it just because of the difference between British English and American English?
