Re: Using a 'Functional' CV, I only have some TEFL experienc
Thanks a lot Alex, that's very helpful. My only criticism about using a functional CV is the fact you have to put your academic record at the end of it. Or atleast that's what most people seem to be doing with a functional CV. My academic results are one of my strong points and I thaught it might be...

Using a 'Functional' CV, I only have some TEFL experience.
I'm thinking about changing my CV to the Funtional format on the basis that I only have a small amount of Tefl experience, doing one to one tutoring. I should also note I have my BA degree. What do you think?

Re: Looking for feedback on my CV.
Forget that I asked to edit my CV! That too much to ask. I only asked cause I saw other CV's being edited on this site. I would love any critical feedback though. Would be extremely helpful! :D Im also considering changing my CV to a functional CV on the basis that I only have a small bit of TEFL ex...

Re: Looking for teaching work, while currently working full t
I know this might have seemed like a stupid question, but I do worry alot about this because I am desperate to get out to Korea. If ANYONE has any advice for me about this PLEASE tell me. Looking for teaching work, while currently working full time.
Just wondering, has anybody had problems looking for TEFL work abroad while currently working? For example, has anyone had problems organising interviews around your job? Are most agencies flexible when deciding on Interviews? Im an Irish citizen and I want to teach in South Korea, where my girlfrie...

Getting a Visa for Korea, before or after getting a job.
Just wondering what the best plan of action is. Should I apply for a visa before getting a job in South Korea or after? Or do agencies usually set you up with a Visa? Furthermore, if I have to apply before I get a job, should I wait till I get my Visa before I apply? It should be noted, my initial p...

Re: Is it a problem if youve got a year gap in your resume?
Is it a good idea to mention that you work for your self, doing one to one tutoring with students? Could it come across as a cop out?

Im having trouble with two questions on my CELTA application form. On my first question, Im stuck with the part where it asks why am i "suited to teaching". From my understanding this is teaching in general and not specificaly ESL teaching. My problem is I am a bit uncertain if it's a good...

Re: Contemplating doing a 15 week ONLINE CELTA course.
I was considering doing a 10 week part time, but it doesnt start till september. Ill still consider it anyway. Would you consider a 1 week to be too short when trying to practice with other students along with the 6 hours of teaching classes? Also, would you consider doing the course in a college (f...

Contemplating doing a 15 week ONLINE CELTA course.
Just want to get some one's advice. There is an online version of the CELTA course in which only 1 week is face to face (in which I will have to travel to Dublin to do). The course is 15 weeks which suits me alot because it's a well paced course. However, a friend of mine says he thinks that the cle...
