Ok, regarding the degree then you're limiting your options. The countries most touted as ones suitable for work without a degree are China and Taiwan but you usually have to be there in person to get the work.

Personally I don't believe you should pay ANY placement agency to find teaching work. They are usually paid by the schools rather than the teachers.

Take a look at Taiwan and China. You may have to be there in person to pick up work as most schools advertising online will only look at fully qualified teachers.

As a couple it's fine. Lots of couples do it.

My only comment would be to try and avoid teaching in the same school. If you have problems with the boss or the pay is late, you'll both be in difficulties but if you work in different schools at least one of you will be ok! :)
