2012 – 2013 New College Nottingham
CELTA certified (120-hour TEFL with PTTLS certificate issued by Cambridge University)
• Taught multilingual groups at a range of levels from Elementary to Upper Intermediate and gave lessons focusing on reading, listening, speaking, writing, grammar, lexis and phonology.
• Selected, adapted and created innovative materials for use in lessons.
• Wrote a needs-analysis of individual students and created tasks which targeted appropriate receptive and productive skills.

2008 – 2011 Manchester Metropolitan University
BA (Hons) English 2:1
• Acquired excellent understanding and use of the English language, and the ability to think critically and develop ideas and theories.
• Taught to be pro-active, self-motivated and able to work independently whilst maintaining efficient performance under pressure to meet specific targets and deadlines.
• Gained confidence in own opinions, tolerance for others’ opinions, and the ability to lead and participate in discussions.

Apr. 2014 – Aug. 2014 Tathva International School, Japan – Teacher
• Taught various subjects, including English, Maths and Science, to large, multinational groups of young learners.
• Given extra responsibility to create and lead examinations for students, as well as extra-curricular activities such as ESL club.

Mar. 2013 – Mar. 2014 English First Rawamangun, Indonesia – Teacher
• Taught large groups, small groups, and private students from Elementary to Advanced. Classes ranged from young learners and general English to those specialized in conversation, business, academics and exam preparation.
• Created and led extra-curricular activities for students including an inter-school football league, spelling bees, and story-telling sessions.
• Given extra responsibilities to ensure smooth functioning of the day to day work environment, including the role of teacher’s room manager.

Oct. 2011 – Feb. 2013 Belton Primary School, England – Voluntary Teaching Assistant
• Helped teachers by clarifying problems, solving disputes and ensuring safety.
• Required to create lesson plans and execute them, analysing each topic and understanding how best to communicate them to children.
• Developed excellent relationships with both teachers and children, making a real difference to their progress.
