• Responsibilities: Planning alongside the British curriculum to enhance and fulfil students learning requirements. Facilitating each step of the students’ progress as well as assessing to promote the achievement and to consolidate the students learning. To work within an international team whilst communicating with all aspects of the organisation and interested parties. I left this post to return home and acquire teaching certification.

• November 2009 – March 2012:Guest Relations Supervisor at Word4Word Marketing (Pty) Ltd.

• Responsibilities: To liaise with customers and clients, help manage exhibition and events, manage guest relations officers, setup up appointments, help manage and setup brand advertisements for tenants and customers throughout the Galleria shopping mall. Assist in sales for advertising throughout the mall, along with sell promotional space to interested clients. I held down this position whilst studying full time towards the end of my Degree.

• August 2008 – July 2009:Spent 11 months abroad, predominantly in the UK, travelling & experiencing cultures first hand. This led to my interest in people and how we interact with one another & our environment which resulted in my desire to study Sociology & Geography.

• Responsibilities: Locate and acquire new customers, along with managing an existing client base & customer relations. I was based in the office automation industry, predominantly the sales of copiers, along with selling plasma screen televisions. This served as a catalyst for funding my travelling experience.

• Responsibilities: A junior sales & marketing position in the company which consisted of assisting the sales & marketing manager with the sales of copiers. Responsibilities were cold calling, reporting to the sales manager, along with hitting my target on a monthly basis, setting up appointments on behalf of my manager, following up on leads and ensuring all documentation was processed correctly.
