Berlitz Brighton, part of the worldwide Berlitz group is looking for a new Director of Studies. Based in Brighton, one of the UK's main EFL centres, the role requires a dynamic and committed individual with strong leadership qualities, a commitment to excellent customer service and high quality teaching. The role is a challenging one and involves managing students and teachers in more than one building in central Brighton. The school experiences high volumes of business in the summer and lower numbers in the winter. The Director of Studies has a degree of involvement in summer junior residential programmes that the school runs outside of Brighton. Candidates should have an appreciation of the business constraints of running a private language school and be prepared to help implement significant changes with other members of the senior management team. This can be a very busy and sometimes stressful job. Excellent planning, and administrative abilities along with the ability to provide sound professional advice to teaching colleagues, and support for students is also important. The ideal candidate will be hands on, an excellent problem solver, motivated, and inspiring to teachers and students. We expect a lot of you and offer a superb professional challenge with one of the biggest names in language teaching.
Qualifications:
First degree and DELTA or equivalent.
Management experience.
Suitably qualified candidates with experience of working at Berlitz are particularly sought.
From £25,000 per annum.
