Honam University, situated in the city of Gwangju, is accepting applications from qualified teachers for Fall 2008 academic term.

Terms of Employment

Ć 18 teaching hours (in a credit and non-credit programs) per week.
Ć Overtime, compensated at 22,000 won per hour.
Ć 4 weeks paid vacation per year.
Ć Summer and winter intensive programs or camps
ƒÜ One-year contract, July,1, 2008. ¡V June,30, 2009. (renewable up to twice based on evaluation of job performance)

Ć Two million won monthly salary

Ć Private office on campus
Ć The campus is located in scenic and historic Gwangju, Korea's fifth largest city, nestled at the foot of Mudeung Mountain. Gwangju is renowned for its fine restaurant, lively artistic community, and historic traditions. It's a 30 minutes flight (4hours by train or bus) from Seoul.

Qualifications
Ć Native English speakers.
Ć Minimum Master of Arts in TESOL or related field.
Ć Teaching Experience in TESOL or TEFL is preferred.

2. A copy of diploma(s) / degree certificates. You may submit copies at the beginning stage, but should be prepared to provide originals later when asked.
3. A copy of transcripts. You may submit copies at the beginning stage, but should be prepared to provide a sealed one when asked. A sealed transcript is needed for visa issuance. A sealed transcript that the Immigration Office requires, indicates that a person in charge from your university needs to sign on the sealed envelop with your transcript.
4. A copy of passport showing date of birth and nationality
5. Two letters of reference
6. Criminal Record (For applicants who pass the interview)
