Give some information from your CV and the others guess the question- no materials- 5 to 10 minutes
Students given copy of teacher’s CV with gaps and guess the questions- Copy of teacher’s CV with gaps- 5 to 10 minute
Students given two versions of a functional CV and with differences and they ask each other questions to find them- 10 to 15 minutes
Discuss which CV style they like best, the teacher’s chronological one or the functional one from the spot the difference - same materials as above- 5 minutes
Go though questions to find differences and if there are any different ways of saying the same thing- same materials as above- 5 minutes
Students match questions with same meaning- Matching questions on cards- 5 minutes
Do the same with the answers to those questions- cards- 5 to 10 minutes
Students answer questions in pairs- materials as above plus answer key- 10 minutes
Students ask each other different questions with the same sentence stems underlined on that sheet- 10 minutes
Discuss which of two or more answers is better- materials as above
Talk about cultural differences in suitable answers
