New TEFLtastic worksheets etc January 2010

Quite a lot of stuff for new classes here, so if you are restarting your new year slightly more post-hangover than mine, might be worth a look:

Writing needs analysis pairwork (adding relevant speaking and GTKY to a writing class)

Form filling and Getting to Know You (ditto, with loads of useful language they will need for immigration and customs forms etc at some time in their lives)

Future and tense review job interview form (with lots of lovely links for extra practice if they are interested in job interviews in English. Meant to tie in a first class needs analysis pairwork activity like this one with the book topics of jobs and/ or future tenses)

Things in common past present future (So do I etc, but with some more realistic language added)

Guess the job 20 questions and personalisation

Arrangements, plans and predictions speaking tasks

Future clauses chain story

ai phonics drawing race game (the only thing I did last week that my new, very quiet, class of nine year olds seemed to like!)

ai phonics picture flashcards (all the other phonics flashcards I could find were just the letters, which surely anyone could bash out on Word in two minutes, so here are pictures of train, rain, snail etc that took me a fair while to bash out on Word with clipart)

Many of the above designed to fit in with New Cutting Edge Intermediate Module 5, but easily useable with other classes if you adapt (copy from the page into Word and reformat) or just miss out the final stage.
