TEFLtastic in the flesh!
With my TEFL.net Reviews Editor hat on, I will be giving a workshop at the Tokyo ETJ Expo and Tokyo English Language Book Fair at Toyo Gakuen University at 3:30pm on Sunday 4 November. When I say ”hat on”, I don’t mean that literally, despite the photos on TEFL.net. In fact, for people who only know me from here this might be your only chance to see me without a hat! (unless there are spotlights, in which case I might have to wear a hat to save too much shine off the bald patches). The topic of the workshop will be “Testing and Reviewing New Materials”, which doesn’t sound very exciting, but if anyone reading has ever been to one of my workshops I’m sure they will agree that they are always TEFLtastic, if perhaps too much so at times…
As the topic is talking about and writing about new textbooks etc. when making decisions for your classes and school or trying to get published, you will also have a chance to get your hands on some brand new TEFL materials. And if you sign up as a TEFL.net reviewer before then, you will be able to keep your hands on those materials and take them home for your continued delight and delectation.
Here’s a list of the orphan books I have that need owners at the moment (all Oxford University Press), and I hope to pick some more up from the publishers big and small on the day
