Controlling under fives

Of course, there are some people who would object even to the use of the word “control” in the title of such a post. Those people are called “modern parents“, or in layman’s terms, “hippies”.

Only jkg!*

Anyway, there is an interesting discussion going on in the comments section of an article of mine provocatively named (although it didn’t occur to me at the time that it was controversial) “15 Punishments for Preschool English Classes”. You can go along and stick the boot in** by following this link.

* Only half joking
** stick the boot into me, not to the little kids, you understand

    I’d like some advice … I am presently applying for jobs in Taiwan – what is the behaviour like generally? high school students? little kids?

    I was a high school teacher in South Africa – huge classes of 55 teenagers … and they were usually awful. Took 15 long years of it …

    I’ve been teaching adults in Turkey for the past 8 years – lovely people – but poor salary and awful hours …

    Can anyone advise on the behaviour of Taiwanese kids?
