One really nice real-life task (because Santa exists in real life!) - sending emails to Santa. Students will also get a reply, apparently:

Another great idea I will steal off someone (this time someone I met in real life, to make a change) is to use “Merry Xmas Mr Bean” in class. I’m sure I once had a worksheet for this one once upon a time, but apparently no more. I have put 4 other Mr Bean video worksheets on my video worksheet page, though, to give you an idea on how many things can be done with a more or less silent video- including very intensive fluency practice, false friends and common errors, and infinitives of purpose.
