New TEFLy stuff of various varieties
Sorry there hasn’t been a lot going on the blog page of my blog. It’s all going on elsewhere though:
There are 20 or so of my short reviews newly up
I’ve got plenty more lessons up on Usingenglish:
-A simple and fun game for the past continuous and past perfect
- A lesson on cultural differences in giving presentations with lots of lovely advice language in it
- A quiz on British and American Business English that also helps them learn how to explain words they don’t know and to use relative clauses and relative pronouns
And plenty more that I’ve forgotten to mention over the weeks and months that you can find on the Usingenglish Lesson Plans page or on my list of publications with links.
I’ve just started doing articles and teaching tips for Usingenglish in the last week or two, so it should be a while before there get to be so many of these I forget to mention them for weeks on end too…
-There’s the first of which I hope will be a long series of new articles looking at language games in a totally different way- “Fun for all the family”. The idea is that dividing games up by age is quite random when dividing it up by level, nationality, time of day or mood might make as much sense. What’s more, looking at all ages at the same time can really help prompt more ideas for all of them. Anyway, the first article is called “22 games to practice numbers”
