Cracking stuff! Are you going to publish? And there's me thinking that the corporate world was the bastion of cut-'n-thrust. I start my TEFL course tomorrow: I'm even more excited now! Incidentally, it's "graphic novel" - not "comic-book".

Interesting comments - it has obviously done your blog a world of good. These people dig their own grave, don't they. I had a similar thing happen on my blog, and I made the comment into a post. The guy had really let loose:

" You clearly know nothing about the country. How long have you been here? One, two or three years…still u know nothing…One ppl do not try to convert you...Two it is advised to wear conservatively here and not to provoke the other gender, and by means to other gender male workers who are mainly Indians or low labors ..dont know if you heard about the rape ratio here, thanks to the disrespectful those who wonder around in tiny mini skirts with half of their bum showing off and sleeveless tops" (http://qatarvisitor.blogspot.com/2007/05/comments.html)

I eventually had to put a stop to it after the guy started imagining I was making negative comments about Islam - not a rumor you want to encourage in a Wahabbi country!

Mr Paul Lowe- Compare and Contrast

"When we begin to disconnect from our mind and its fixed

opinions an unexplainable mystery happens — life gets

easier and better and better. Everything starts to click

into place. Anger and judgment dissipate, a feeling of

freedom descends and a gentle peace starts to permeate

our whole being. "

(Paul G Lowe), quoted from the blog of Ben Winkler:

http://benwinkler-lifecoach.blogspot.com/2008/03/preconditioning.html

"you were and are one of the plodders ending up on a trade site with no prospects of anything better ever again"

"you have not even started to feel the effects from this side of the divide"

"me thinks (the drudge that you palpably are) doth protest too much"

"clearly you are far too glamourous to be just a “rep” (reptile) in another city"

"as for nasty pieces of work mr c- it would seem from your own side of the exchanges that you are not only well versed in this area, but surpassing keen on it, though mediocre"

"the internet, as you know and as i come to learn, is both a sewer and a means for the saddest elements in the world to vent their spleen"

"trawling the gutter like all the other plankton you share a genus with"

"all that you have done, (largely it would appear unsuccessfuly) and all your japanese adventures, all your grubby dealings with scum... takes you further in to the gutter"

"two cliches in quick suck-cession - what a clever boy you are

i am, of course, not finished with you yet- we have a long way to go…...

what a lot of lessons you have still to learn"

Paul S Lowe, quotes from one email and several comments posted by himself (!) on TEFLtastic blog

PS- You want to hear the really ironic thing? A journalist friend of mine tells me that somewhere in those comments HE has libelled ME!

Although you have still not offered an apology or taken away the threat to sue, I am going to give you one more chance to comment. Again, vague rambling threats will result in you being blocked.

It seems to have declined from shoddy and full of rather embarrassing intermediate learner type mistakes to a complete word salad. I wonder if the tirade of ill-connected and irrelevant stuff makes sense in his head. If it does, it's terrifying to think of the lengths he has had to go to just to rationalise, of irrationalise, his predicament. He's up to his eyes in debt, bailiffs are banging on the door and he's attacking TeflTastic and threatening to sue over things it hasn't done. Wonderful priorities, wonderful guy.

Just for interest, I am doing an MA in TESOL, specialising in teaching people with psychological issues (eg prisoners, asylum seekers and so on). I will be using some of Mr Lowe's material posted here to use as examples of 'disturbed English.'

Paul

Whilst I still thank you for your continued contributions, which have made this thread my most read ever and in which you have made our point about you being a man to avoid with your own words better than we ever could, you just making the same vague threats is getting rather tedious. I suggest, therefore, that we get to the point. If you do indeed have a lawyer, please ask them to write to me and/ or the site editor stating exactly which language is libellous, and under exactly which laws. If that is indeed the case, that language will be changed or removed, leaving only your own words here- something you will no doubt be proud to show prospective teachers, teacher trainers, investors, students and trainees.

Any other communication will result in you being blocked, after which I will make a choice selection of your comments and change it into another post, perhaps "Paul Lowe in his own words". As you will no doubt think that is some kind of restriction on your freedom of speech, I suggest you set up a "Support Paul Lowe" and/ or "Anti-TEFLtastic" free blog on TEFL.net blogs, where your friends, family, satisfied customers and people who think I have treated you badly here can leave lots of messages of support.

EDITED

By the end of this month there will be no less than two dozen blogs featuring Paul Lowe and Windsor TEFL in existence - all easily reachable by a simple web search. I'll make sure of that. Each blog will contain at least a dozen articles about you - I mean, it's not as if there's a shortage of that, is there?

So, get together your team of backstreet lawyers and gutter-level aides (your family, for example), and see what can be done. I have a feeling you'll be so busy putting out fires, and have no time to run your sordid little 'business' (i.e., fraud), that you'll be out of work by the end of the year.

Especially when my friend the taxman comes knocking on your door!!

it seems also alex that i can now hunt down all the various entries a person makes (i am learning all the time) - racism and treating with the poisoners- projecting their agendas of hatred to the world at large-

you are not immune to bile and venom and thus, all that you have done, (largely it would appear unsuccessfuly) and all your japanese adventures, all your grubby dealings with scum like the "bradford paki basher" takes you further in to the gutter and away from noble notions you dissemble over in the pretence of enlightening the world through english

alex- the internet, as you know and as i come to learn, is both a sewer and a means for the saddest elements in the world to vent their spleen

the constant references to my state of mind and and my professional demise are a little rich considering i have been under their yoke for about a year and a half, and for reasons of being better and brighter than those with lame comic-book names that the very dim choose to dub themselves on the web, have reinvigorated my business - i suggest that you stop giving me the benfit of "good advice" since palpably i dont need it-

if i seek to expunge the vileness which i see on the web i do it because i CHOOSE to and this will of course include your own "dodging and weaving" between trying to sound rational and respectable and trawling the gutter like all the other plankton you share a genus with- sorry but it is so
