New Year, New Grammar

As people searching for Xmas themed lessons seems to finally be over, here comes the New Year worksheets to ease yourself back into your classes with:

New Year Future Perfect Sentence Completion guessing game

New Year Future Continuous and State Verbs Sentence Completion guessing game (again! I guess I was running out of inspiration at the end of last year…)

New Year Resolutions Adverbs of Frequency. (Or perhaps I used all my inspiration up on this one- in my present unmotivated state I can’t imagine coming up with something that combines grammar, vocab, word order and trying to motivate your students in the New Year like this one)

And if there is anyone in TEFLdom who didn’t do a Xmas lesson, this Xmas superstitions First Conditionals bluff game actually is half about New Year and so a good one for classes suffering from a lack of Xmas cheer and/ or hangovers.

May all our classes be happy in the New Year- including my IELTS reading class!

What about something like “Who do you hope to shag in 2008?”? Could be a winner in mixed classes, I reckon!

A shortage of mixed classes in your neck of the woods, Sandy?
