Christmas is all about the kids, maaaan

Don’t know how and when it happened, but no kids’ classes at all this year so had no chance to see their happy and snotty little faces when doing the lessons below, but WiseHat lessons are usually very stimulating for both teacher and students, very occassionally in a slightly odd way!

Snowballs

Maze challenge (adaptable for Xmas vocab)

Cooperative bingo (ditto)

Xmas up and down

And yet another plug for my Usingenglish stuff, this time just the stuff for kids:

Combining Xmas with a young learners’ syllabus

Xmas vocab you can mime

Oh, okay, adults can join in the fun too:

Xmas and New Year Superstitions 1st Conditionals Bluff Game

New Year Resolutions Adverbs of Frequency (going to for future plans/ learner training)

And Edward Scissorhands is always a good one for the most sentimental time of year, as well as being the single easiest to understand film ever made. I’m planning “The Office” Xmas party episode for my students instead this year, as a way of showing them that office life sucks in every country, not just Japan. Worksheet coming up when I’ve done it.
