New TEFL articles and teaching ideas Dec 08
Okay, I get the point. I’ve had a look at my blog stats (far too often, if truth be told…), and you lot are approximately a squillion times more interested in practical TEFL worksheets and teaching ideas than you are in gossip about who is gay and/ or incompetent at Guardian TEFL.* Very sensible of you too, and I will try – probably unsuccessfully- to make this blog as serious as my articles and worksheets in the New Year. In the meantime, keep coming here for links to where I do the stuff that is worthwhile, such as:
15 ways to learn students’ names
15 more fun ways to practice the Past Perfect
15 fun ways to practice third and mixed conditionals
15 more ways of eliciting vocabulary
15 fun ways to practice will for predictions
15 ways of eliciting vocabulary
15 criteria for good groupwork organisation
15 ways to cut out or limit L1 use in class
15 ways of putting students into groups
That’s your lot until after Xmas because I am presently reading books for real primary school teachers and am in slight shock as to how much of a jump up from TEFL teaching it is!
* It’s lucky you don’t want that info, because I have no idea. I, however, thrive on insider TEFL gossip and would love to know if any of you do!
