Use Your Head- Tony Buzan

This is not really an EFL book at all, but rather a general book on study skills. It is easy to scoff at the stories at the front of the book of people who turned their whole academic careers round after reading this book, but even if you are naturally a good student it can really help you make the most of the materials you are looking at. Although ideas in here like ‘mind maps’ have become much used in the world of EFL since it was written, there is still no better guide to really making the most of such techniques. Recommended if you are studying yourself for some kind of EFL qualification, but also if you are reading more theoretical teachers’ books and magazines and want to get the most out of them. It’s also great for equipping yourself to give your students study tips as well, of course, especially if you have exam classes.
