Knowing Me Knowing You- DELTA
This is one of my top ten all-time TEFL books. It is a photocopiable resource books that gives you numerous activities to test students’ learning styles (for example, if they are kinaesthetic, visual or auditory learners). Although this sounds quite heavy, students will quite happily do the questionnaires etc. without even realizing that they are being tested on anything, and widening the discussion out into talking about how they like to learn and should learn usually gets their interest even more. All the material is easy to use, often without even looking at the teacher’s notes. I’d especially recommend this to people who are about to take a higher teaching qualification such as the DELTA and want to get some practical experience of some more technical ideas.
