Humanising your Coursebook mini review
Mario Rinvolucri, the author of this book, has long been the main champion of the ‘touchy feely’ humanistic approach to language teaching. In its more extreme form, it seems to seek to use its techniques as much to turn our students into better people as better language learners. For the rest of us, it is a great source of ideas we can mine for our classes. As with most of Mario’s books, the ideas in here are a bit random but always thought provoking. Unlike most of his other books, this one can be picked up and used almost instantly- often with very little preparation.
