Objective FCE
The problem I have always had with FCE textbooks is their tendency to overstretch the topics in their units- both by spending too much time on one topic when it is very difficult to predict what topics will come up in the reading and listening parts of the exam, and by including exam tasks such as Use of English error correction tasks within the topic (as if it possible to do anything else with them but treat them as exam practise!) This book deals with both problems in one by having many shorter units, and moving most of the exam practice into separate units specifically for that purpose. This means you can either split each lesson into a ‘general English’ bit and an exam bit, or do alternate classes. It is also possible to use this book with classes where not everyone is doing the exam, by setting the exam sections for homework. The best FCE exam book yet.
