Defining Issues in ELT
The title of this book is a bit of a play on words- rather than just covering the most important issues in ELT, it does in fact seek to define what this issues are- what exactly people are really arguing about, when people are in fact agreeing but using different words, where people’s points of view are really coming from etc. If you like the idea of this and the punning title attracts, I can highly recommend this book. The author writes in a very stylish way, with the use of many quotes from literature etc. to liven the text up, whilst really ‘cutting through the crap’ of many arguments you may have been hearing about, or possibly thinking about.
