Business Grammar Builder

This book is one of several wannabe ‘ business Murphy’s’ on the market, but what makes this better than the average is the fact that it doesn’t copy the Murphy’s format too much. The grammar points are given as much room as they need rather than made to fit conveniently onto a page, and grammar points are often taught and practised in contrasting pairs rather than in isolation. The ‘business’ part of it mainly consists of using businessy example sentences, but also means there are useful sections on functional stuff, numbers, trends etc. that a general English grammar book might not cover properly, if at all. The CD sounds like a strange accompaniment for a grammar book, but is in fact very useful both in class and for self-study.
