If you are tired of ploughing through a chapter in a business textbook on the perfume industry with a car salesman, this is the book for you (or books, rather). If you do a thorough needs analysis with a new business English student (and in fact many other ESP students) I guarantee that these books will cover at least 50% of the functional language they will need (although obviously not the very specialist vocabulary of their area). To give an example, the section on business e-mailing is the only useable one I have found in any business book and leads onto issues of formality that are also relevant for other aspects of most students’ jobs. If you can only get one of the three books, I recommend the one that covers e-mails.
